The Vulnerable Communities Agricultural Development Project is an Agricultural developmental project (VCADP) aimed at increasing Agricultural productivity in rural disadvantage and vulnerable communities. The project saw agricultural developmental need within the rural poor, in order to make theses communities’ food self-sufficient as well as actively participate in social-economic development of Namibia this project has been setup.
The Namibian Government through the Directorate of Extension Services and other NGO’s have been striving to increase agricultural productivity through dissemination of agricultural information and advanced technological innovations to the rural communities In support of the of this and country’s third developmental plan (NDP3) and the vision 2030, VCADP will formulate special agriculture development approaches and strategies that will fit the developmental needs of communities so that they can actively participated in socio-economic development of our country in realisation of the vision 2030. The Project will be based in Kunene region (Opuwo) one of the most affected region of the country.
